So my 5000 is a 70 model diesel with powersteering cylinder under the radiator. it's got upward play in the steering wheel resulting in two or three turns in either direction before it actually moves the wheels left or right. The problem I'm having is knowing what worm shaft to buy. I'm having to change the shaft because the steering wheel is welded on. The two part numbers I have are this C5NN3A710A which seems to be mine and more expensive or d2nn3a710b one is clockwise other is counterclockwise. I know the piece that moves up and down the worm which actually moves the Pittman arm moves down when the steering wheel is turned clockwise and up when it's turned counterclockwise. And the thing that moves up and down the worm shaft with all the balls in it screws in when the wheel is turned counterclockwise. Front of the tractor is to the right in this picture.
