You can use bolts instead of the rivets. Just have to get "high" rise type knife clips. You can see in this pic of mine when I converted to bolts. I didn't want to mess with the rivets and buy the special tool. Easy to change blades.

If you look in the manual you got,you'll see that lif arm attachments are specific to a cerain model tractor. I have the same problem; don't sweat it; attach as best you can figure out. The main one to attach is to the break away if I recall.
