What do I need to do to pull the hydraulic pump driveshaft? Will I have to pull the hyd tank, cooler, pump, and the radiator? Looks like an access panel under the radiator, but looks like I'd have to take the oil cooler out to be able to remove the panel.

Ain't it wonderful having one of these big loader backhoes without a Repair Manual? I am sure I'll have similar questions before long on my LB75B. I can tell you that my tractor doesn't have the same hydaulic pump(s) as yours, so I can't be any help to you. Have you sent a PM to Eddie Walker? His tractor may be similar to yours.

EDIT: Well, I see you've posted about this in the Construction forum, so Eddie has probably seen your question and doesn't know. Is the illustration below your hydraulic system?

Jim,
I do have the manuals. I got a reprint operators manual and just got an original operators manual today. The illustrations are MUCH better in the original. There is no mention of the driveshaft in the operators manual. It doesn't even mention it needing to be greased!

I also have the repair manual. It says the driveshaft is supposed to be lubed ever 50 hours, and shortly after my unit was built they switched to a different driveshaft that only needs to be lubed once a year or every 1200 hours.

What it doesn't say is how to get it out of there. The pump has to be unbolted, there's an access panel below the oil cooler that needs to come out. Sure looks like the oil cooler needs to come out (or at least unbolt it)to get the access panel out. Once that panel is out of the way everything else should be pretty straigh forward. I just wanted to see if anyone knew for sure as I don't want to take anything off the machine that I don't have to.

Yes, the illustration you posted is what I have.
Thanks,
Pops

2 bolts should hold on the pump cover plate, if they're still there. It can be removed without disconnecting any lines. It might need to be flexed a bit. Unbolting the pump will help, no need to unhook any of those lines. A long extension will reach the crank pulley bolts. Once unbolted from the pulley, a little prying will move the pump forward enough to wiggle the shaft out. Could be a little tough if the ujoints won't flex.

Thats what I wanted to know.
