Ford 600/800 series 5 speed transmission

What would cause the Ford 5 speed transmission come out of gear while going down hill or when there is no load? It is the 5 speed that is in the 600 and 800 series tractors. Any advice would be appreciated.

I've saw this several times over the years. Never tore into one to find out. But my guess is worn gears. They are cut to hold themselves engaged. Enough times of grinding it into gear will round the teeth. Then they lose that tendency to stay engaged. Guessing here.....
