I am new to the forum and this is my first post so please forgive me if I do something not per procedure.
I am in need of help.
I have a Ford 601 (641 Workmaster I think.) I bought it with non-functioning hydraulics with the assumption that I could break loose the control valve and be good to go. I live in southern Indiana and as far as I know the tractor has for some time as well.
Now for the list of things I have attempted. (in order)
1. Changed the fluid
a. Used Ford GL1 per manufacturer specifications.
b. Removed approximated a quart of water from a honey/milk colored cloudy fluid.
c. Cleaned sump
2. Removed top cover
a. took apart the assembly containing the control valve and the unloading valve.
b. removed both valves cleaned and reassembled.
3. Replaced Saftey valve
4. Used 1/2 by 24 bolt to remove Check valve
a. replaced o-rings and reassembled.
5. Removed and rebuilt lift piston.
6. Removed Hydraulic Pump.
a. Applied air pressure to both inlet and outlet to ensure no blockages in line.
b. Replaced with new pump
c. bled pump and verified functionality
7. Checked inside using viewport on left side next to the PTO lever No fluid leaking.
I still get absolutely no response.
Any advice would be very much appreciated.
Thank you,
Ian
