Buying Advice Ford 601

I am thinking about buying a Ford 601 tractor with a disk, blade, and plow. I used a Ford 8N when I was young but it has been 35 years since I have been on a tractor. Is the Ford 601 similar to the Ford 8N? It has new wiring, alternator, been converted to a 12-volt system and a new battery. They say it runs like a top with no leaks. They want $3,600 for it. Any advice would be helpful?

The price is in the ballpark if it is all they say it is, especially with the implements if they are in decent shape. A 600 series will be far superior to an 8N, OHV engine, more cubes, more HP, live hydraulics, a little heavier and just as maneuverable. Check it out careful, others here can advise you what to look out for.
