It is definitely harder to steer but I haven't found it to be a problem. I did replace all the steering rubber and added fresh grease to make sure it was up to snuff. I would not let this stop you.
When you are rolling it is fairly easy to steer. Sitting still and with a full load in the bucket it is hard to steer. I have been moving dirt on top of a dike around a pond. If I need to make a tight turn I set the bucket down enough to raise the front wheels off the ground and crank them lock to lock. Raise the bucket and drive away. It works pretty good and you can do a sharp 3 point turn.
I took the loader off for winter snow removal and maintenance or I would snap some pictures. If you have any other questions let me know.
BTW, I bought my loader on eBay for 1600.00 complete with hoses, valves and brackets, even nuts and bolts. It was an easy 2 hour job to install.
