No welding was required. There are 2 brackets that bolt on just behind the front bumper. These are half moon shaped that face forward. The loader bar or pipe fits in here and gets pinned. On the bell housing casting, there are 4 tapped holes on each side. There are brackets bolted here as well, one of which accepts the valve for the joy stick.
It is a really easy installation once you have all the brackets and hardware. Mine is a Westendorf TA-55 and the mount kit came from them but I am using a Ford valve and joy stick.
Keep an eye on eBay and Craigslist. They are not common but the problem with buying new is that the loader cost almost as much as the tractor is worth.
Where are you located?
For the little snow we get here I just use the rear blade. It is easier to store my tractor in the heated garage without the loader on it.
