Hi, I recently aquired a 1984 John Deere 750 4x4 with 1200 hrs. Upon closer inspection what I thought was a worn tie rod end is actually play in the front axle pivot pin. When the steering wheel is turned the axle slides approximately 1/16"- 1/8" on the pivot pin. The tractor overall is very clean and was stored inside most of the time with little to no rust or corrosion. It does not look to have ever had a loader on it and is rather light in the front end. I don't have the service manual yet as it is a little pricey though I'm sure it will be well worth it if I keep this tractor. Any info on how to inspect and address this would be greatly appreciated. I also have some seepage where the fuel lines attach to the injector pump. Are these compression fittings or are there o-rings in there?
I read it can take a model 60 loader which I am having trouble finding. Are there any other models that will fit this tractor?I think I may have seen one with a #67 loader on it.
Thanks for any help anyone can offer.
