Reports I have read from knowledgable folks say that 6 volt electronic ignitions are more problematic than 12 volt setups. Voltage drop while cranking is apparently more of a problem, and instead of weak spark as one would have with breaker points, there simply is no spark at all. Make sure your battery cables, battery, and starter are completely up to snuff. As with all electronic ignitions, be absolutely certain your battery polarity matches the requirements of your kit.
