ford 850 Powermaster hydraulic question

I have a Ford 850 hydraulic problem. The 3 point hitch attachments work fine. Up and down nicely. There is a valve under the seat to switch the hydraulic oil from the 3 point hitch to the front hydraulics where I have a snow plow. There it goes up fine but does not come down until the next day. That makes it tough to plow snow obviously. Is the front cylinder the fault?

Someone who knows more about the Ford will have a lot more info. But it sounds like the 3pt return line was pulled out of the case and ran into the valve? The 3 pt return maybe needs a tee? That’s my SWAG. I also assuming it’s a closed center system?

Am I correct in thinking the valve is not easily accessible when you are using the tractor? Is it possible to move the valve so it can be switched on the fly?

It's not new. It has worked for years although last winter when I used it for the plow I did have trouble with it lowering also. It was slow to lower then also but seemed to work better the longer I used it.

Remove your return line (I'm assuming it is a rubber line) and check it to make sure it has not started to deteriorate inside causing a blockage. Or if you can safely do it, with the blade up, loosen the return line at the cylinder. If it drops you know there is a blockage in the line.

Does the plow move up and down with out the cylinder attached? This is a single acting cylinder I would assume? Is the top side breather free and clear?
