ford 8n front end weight

does any one have any ideas how to add weight to the front end of a ford 8n, i have loaded tires, but i how like to keep the front end a little closer to the ground when towing cedar. especially after the ground gets muddy, any idea's wound be greatly appreciated , thaNKS.

First off keep the chain low when towing anything. If it gets up over the rear axle it she can and will eventually come over on her back.

Now as for the front weight you can make a simple one by building a box and filling it with concrete. Set J-bolts like that are used to anchor framing in a home to the slab. Cheap simple solution. Just set the bolt spacing to accept holes in the front grill guard.

I used a chain to hang two weights from my old garden tractor rear tires off of the grill guard. Then 8N tends to be light in the front end and with any weight hanging off the back it will make it hard to get it to go in the direction you want.

When I first got mine I put a front plow on it and that put so much weight on the front end that I couldn't get any traction until I put about 300lbs of weight on the back.

She'd enjoy it, not only would it offer her another opportunity to control something, she could growl directions, sarcastic advice and tell you very personal stories about all things nauseating. hang the 75# repro bumper on it that TSC sells, then bolt a weight box to it, populate it with suitcase weights ( $$$ ).. or get some yard sale barbell weights and threaded rod, nuts and big washers and add the weight.

.."front mounted wench". Good one! Borrow her? Uhh believe me, the cost/benefit just isn't there. It has taken me 25 yrs of very small gradual doses to survive being in the same room with her for more than a few minutes. I feel certain that she could have single handedly left Pol Pot and the khmer rouge emotionally drained after a short conversation. My gosh, you just gave me a great idea. My brother is a private contractor for the military's Drone aircraft project. I wonder if he could strap her to one and drop her in the middle of Afghanistan? She could drive the entire Taliban to swallow their own gun barrels after 5 minutes of interrogation. I'll mention it at Christmas.

Now that is a good one. My wife was walking by and I told her. Here read this.She just walked out shaking her head and laughing also. We have a sister inlaw we would be glad to get a ticket for if possible.Could you let us know how to sign her up. Make sure there is not a weight limit, that may be a big problem
