I think I have a problem I have a Ford 8N I drained the rear fluids replaced them with GL1. now the lift does not move at all. It is in gear and looking through the inspection port fluid is moving above the pump

pto has to be running to get 3pt lift.
if it is running.. look thru the dipstick port and move 3pt handle up and down and make sure the arm from the top tot he pump is actually moving the control vale in and out of the pump body.
sometiems draining and ading oil stirs up grit that sticlks the control valve.

and the valve was moving inand out of thepump body freely?
not much to them scotch yoke piston pumps.. if it worked before an oil change and now not, and the valve is moving.. and pto turning.. I would think near impossible to have valves hang and piston damage happen imediately.
for kicks.. loosen chamber top plugs.
I have heard RARE instances of airlock in the chambers..
I looked at pictures of the pump on E-bay. Are you loosening the top 2 bolts, one on each end of pump? They look like they have 2 caps held down. Thanks for your help
