Ford 8n with front mount distributor

My 8n was running rough replaced coil worked for a while then would not start. Pulled offdistributor to check points. Points where not opening. Replaced points distributor cap rotor. Installed distributor and still wouldn"t start. I am getting 6 volts to coil but no spark to plugs what now. Any ideas.

Idiotic questions when you most likely controlled the opening of the new ponits? Have you tried switching capacitor? If you have then I tried to look at the opening of the plugs, if that's all right then it's time to consider a new coil

he just put a new coil on.

quit changing parts.

recheck points gap.

if you have bat voltage to top ov the coil then points are open.
