I'm looking to buy a 1991 ford 9030 for most clearing my cottage road, but can anybody tell me why some of these caught fire? Thank you

The 9030 is a different breed of tractor. They had a maze of hydraulic lines with remotes front and rear. Because of their articulating design all of the hoses had to be routed near the engine. One hose leak and the tractor could go up in flames. Another reason they seem to have a tendency to combust is because of their useage as loader tractors. They are frequently used to handle hay and often not cleaned up after use. They hay can collect in areas and combust. If your concerned about fire have all the hyd hoses replaced and clean the grease off of the tractor.
