I have a ford 60 inch finish mower, model 730A. I want to check the gear box fill and was wondering how to go about it. It appears to have a plug on each side which I assume are at the level you fill to. They are both at the same height. On top there is a stud with a nut on it where I would expect to find a hole to put the lube in. It looks more like an adjustment than a fill hole (it reminds me of the old style band adjustment screws on automatic transmissions). I wanted to see if someone knew for sure before I started unscrewing anything.
