Ford--Howard Gear reduction units

I was recently browsing the web for Howard gears and ran across this 1998 ad in Ford, Fordson & Ferguson Antique Tractor classifieds. He was offering replacement gears for your Howard gear reduction units.
I e-mailed him and he wrote back he will make new gears. He also said," if he could be of help, feel free to e-mail him".
I don't know any of the particulars but I think there are people looking to return their tractor to working condition.

there is another tractor enthusiast hobby machinist over at ytmag working on the same.

to many people thought the howards were tree stump pullers and roaced the gear set.
