Anyone use it?

I picked some up for my ford diesel tractor this year.. figure it would make it happy! Not a bad price for a 5qt jug either.. something like 12$

I use it in my 6.0 Ford F-250 and haven't noticed any difference between the Motorcraft oil at Wal-Mart or Ford

The Ford semi-synthetic is as cheap as there is (for a name brand) at ~ $2.97/qt. Don't know if it is rated for diesel though.

My local WalMart has it on clearance now for something like $2.25 or $2.50 a qt. They had about 4 cases in quarts only. I really don't have a need for it but how long will oil keep if unopened? I am currently sitting on 8 gallons of Rotella I bought off a guy I work with for $30. He moved in to a rental house and it was left in the garage with the foil seals still intact.

Wow, that was quite a deal!!

The shelf-life of unopened oil has been debated quite a bit at the various forums, including here, and I don't know that a definitive answer has ever been provided. My $0.02 is, especially since the seals are intact, it should last for at least 5 years (don't tell anyone, but I've used quite a bit that's older than that, with zero problems). Just be sure to shake the heck out of it, to make sure it's all mixed up when you do use it. Actually (another of Dad's procedures that I've always followed, like pre-filling oil filters) I always shake any oil container before pouring. I sure do miss my Dad. :(
