I have a 1991ish 1720 Ford New Holland with clutch problems. I'm trying to determine if my 1720 has a double or a single clutch. I cannot determine by engaging the clutch as the clutch will not release (acts like pedal is pushed all the time like perhaps the throw out bearing slipped through pressure plate). My actual question is if I do not have the bracket for the set screw on my clutch pedal do I have a single clutch? I'm about to split the tractor and follow my repair manual just kind of curious as to what the best way to determine this when the clutch has failed and i never really paid attention to the pto operation and the clutch. I have only owned the tractor for a little over a year and have only finish mowed and angle bladed the driveway a few times. Any help is appreciated on the subject.
Thanks,
Drew
