I'm hoping that someone may be able to assist me with a problem I am having with my Ford 2100 4WD tractor. The hydraulics have always been OK for lthe last 4 years, but recently, I have lost all up and down with the 3 Point Linkage. I cleaned the filters and changed the hydraulic oil and everything seemed fine.......slasher up and down, how it should be .....but it only lasted for about 20 mins. Then I lost all lift and even power steering? I left it overnight and the next morning, all seemd OK but again for only 15 mins but this time I didn't lose power steering. I let it stand for 30 mins and started it up and hydraulics lifted the slasher up, but only for 50 secs, and then it slowly descended all the way to the ground. I am at a loss at how to fix it.....I loosened the bolt for the rear filter and only a slow trickle of oil came out, which made me think that maybe the oil filter is clogged up, despite it having been cleaned and soaked in petrol. I was thinking of putting some holes in that filter to see whether the filter, although it appears clean, maybe it is clogged up and not allowing the oil through fast enough? I have not 'bled' the system and I believe that to do that, I loosen the bolt on the return line, near the pump, and allow any air to escape. If you have any suggestions, I would be very grateful. Thanks... Pete
