Ford does not acknowledge the so called A-plan, so don't have your friend ask at the Ford plant.
I bought my tractor through the "A-Plan" that is still offered by New Holland. The way my dealer explained it is that New Holland initially cancelled the plan when the Ford/New Holland relationship ended, but then realized it was a good sales incentive to Ford employees to buy NH products. The actual title and the sales papers are written up in the Ford employee's name, and I saved about $1400 having my father-in-law buy the tractor. I felt a little silly having a 78 y/o with Parkinson's shuffle with his cane into the dealership to sign for the tractor, but I was happy to get it, the dealer was happy to sell it, and my F-I-L was happy to help.
I also financed through New Holland, and the bill comes monthly to my address in my F-I-L's name, and I write the check and send it to New Holland. Now the mailings are coming for other NH products and newsletters.
