Ford YT-16

I'm going to fully restore a Ford YT-16 lawn tractor. It has a 16 horse Briggs and stratton engine. Did they all come with a 6 way blade on them? Why does the seat and fenders lift up on the back? I just want to know if it is original. Or was it modified somewhere along the road. I got it for free and wanna fix it up.

Post this down in the lawn and garden under ford tractors. They can probably help out. I have a Ford Yt16 w/ Kohler and the fenders don't lift. Only the seat does...
