I got an old Fordson Major diesel early fifties, anyone know how the oil is checked in the injector pump, it's a Simms pump with the pneumatic throttle, I can find no level plug or filler what am I missing.
Thanks in advance

That old girl was lubed by the fuel leakage inside the pump..
Any excess was pushed out of the pigtail..
When a pump of that vintage comes in for repair.. the side cover is drilled & threaded to accept a plug.. so the customer could add lube oil{engine oil} & the excess would just come out the pigtail..
I hope that answers your question.. TPG
