A very good friend of mine made me fork extensions. I did a post a short time ago and got some good feedback. I wanted to use them to move my snowmobiles around. I have a Kubota B2630 with pallet forks. I found that I don't have enough lift capacity to lift anything heavier then the snowmobile in the picture. I can't lift any higher then in the picture. I was hoping to lift the snowmobile into my pickup. I know the lift capacity is drastically reduced the further forward the balance point is. Is there anyway for me to increase my lift capacity? (bypass valve pressure) I just need a slight increase.
Thanks

Don't tell the safety cops but raise your RPM's up a little and don't get caught

Thanks. I did but it only helped slightly.

Sell the Yamaha and buy a lighter snowmobile??? Just kidding - I have a similar set-up, I have a B2410 and it will lift my Ski Doo Rev 600, but it won't lift it high enough to get it in my truck. It will take it out of the truck, because the curl is strong enough to clear the front. I ended up building a nice ramp set up to get the sled into my truck. Wish I had a better answer for you.

Thanks everyone. I guess it won't work. I'll have to use my homemade ramps.

Get the engine of the snowmobile closer to the tractor.

Can it lift the snowmobile if is crosswise on the forks? If it can and you have the lift height available, could you put it on a sling and come in from the side of the truck? Clearances might be an issue but the closer you get the weight to the pivot points, the better off you will be.

I'm sure I could lift it higher from the side but would not be able to lift it over the side of my truck. I think if I had some one to lift slightly on the bumper of the snowmobile I may get it high enough lifting it as shown in the picture. I've got all summer to play around with it.

My B3300 won't lift mine either. Incluiding a little 440 Fan, and a new lightwieght ski doo summit (e-tec 600). Niether are beasts. The forks & extensions probably wiegh 250 combined. If I built something custom to replace both just for this, from Aluminum it may work, but would be a spendy experiment. Need one of you w/ a TIG to do that for us!
