</font><font color="blue" class="small">( Gravity holds the forks on for now. It would be possible to drop the frame out from under the fork if I were stackin or loading a truck. But if that becomes a problem it can easy be taken care of with a small pice of angle iron or a hole drilled and pin.

One other thing makes me nervious. I don't see anything holding them from sliding off the side. On my hilly ground, and taking a turn, and driving over a frozen cowpie or something, there would be a great deal of push to the side, with the steel on steel of your J hooks sliding - off the side? I'd want an endplate or end pin on each side of the upper angle iron.
I too was wondering about the bend in the forks, but sounds like you have that thought out.
