Fork Lift @ YM1500D

Hello,

(sorry for my writing, and my bad "engrish")

I am trying to install a forklift tower in my YM1500D.
It is supposed to be attached to hidraulic system on the back of the tractor, and itｴs about 660 - 880 lbs. (could not get the exact weight).

But, to balance all this, I need to putt some weight in the front.

But I don't want do damage (break) the tractor.

Can You please give some advice?

Just fit it as per instructions. It shouldn't break your tractor and everything forward of the rear wheels becomes the counterweight. If there is a problem with balance then put water in the front tyres of your tractor as it's the cheapest option.

I don't want to discourage you, but I think that may be too much load for your tractor. The Yanmar YM186, which is the US version of the YM1510, is the replacement of the YM1500. It is rated at around 550 lbs on the lift 24 inches from the lift arm balls. The YM220, which is a bigger machine than the YM1500, is rated at 816 lbs 24 inches from the lift arm balls. I think your 650 lb plus forklift is dangerously heavy, and using it to carry heavy pallets is likely to damage your machine.

I use from around 180 lbs to 250 lbs of cast iron weights on the front of my YM186D.

Building rear forklift mast is something Ive thought of doing for a long time. You do not have to lift the mast with the 3pt. You can simply install heavy duty caster wheels to the bottom of the mast, that way most of the force is directed toward the ground. Safer too!
