What would they be worth? I have a pair that are about 34"s long. Came off a 6 k Cat fork lift,6"s wide. Used and abused but both are straight, on same plane.

I have been looking for them on Craigslist and haven't seen forklift forks specifically. What I keep finding is Pallet jacks. I was thinking of getting some forklift forks to hang on the front of the FEL to life things that way. What I have found in Pallet jacks is $75-$200. I thought of just cutting the forks off off the pallet jack although they are much thicker. Not sure if that gives you a price to work from.

They're only worth what someone will give.
It depends on wear. If the heel thickness is 10% less than the vertical thickness, they are considered worn and according to OSHA are scrap. Enough with the lawyer talk. I used to sell used pairs 42" long and longer to my local farmers for $50 a pair. These were also 4" wide, yours are wider but shorter. I'm also told I could have gotten more, but I have a soft spot in my heart for farmers.

Treemonkey, contact a local forklift repair outfit and tell them you need a set that are worn out. Better yet, go there with a box of donuts and some cash. Instant friends.

Hey that's a good idea about bribing them a little or hitting their soft spot. There is a place down the road that sells and rents forklifts. After seeing some of the other postings on here on how useful the forks can be I wanted to do that on my tractor.

Paid 80 for the forks and frame at an auction.

Your dough nut idea is right on target. Food talks - most blue collar shop guys (regardless of the industry) will go out of their way to help someone who is nice to them

Great suggestion

I was a forklift mechanic for 22 years. A small gift to the right guy might score you a pair for nothing.

I've been researching this a bit, as I want to fab my own quick attach pallet fork for my B26 loader. As noted here, best source seems to be forklift repair shops. Lot more of those around than I expected.

Best price I've found so far on a pair of 42" long, 4" wide shaft (pin) forks with the shaft is about $100.

I've seen several pairs of forks on Craigslist in the $75 - $100 range.

RichT, the pic in Mighty Dodge's post is exactly what I was talking about in your post about real forks vs. clamp-ons. That's the front frame from a sideshifter. Most likely ITA II, but without dims of a better size reference I can't say for sure.
