Mahindra 2015 HST
Hello all. I have a Mahindra 2015 with a loader. Looking through the new Northern Tool catalog, I saw some clamp on forks. I was thinking that I could use them to raise logs off of the ground to cut (save my back a little).

Has anyone had any experience with these forks or something similar?

forks are INCREDIBLY useful. But I'd steer clear of clamp ons if you can. They hold the weight a lot further out from your loader and therefore have much less capacity - QA forks are the ideal, I have em and love em.

If you do use them try to have them wide on the bucket to not put all the pressure on the middle lip on the bucket, and also if you go under the log try to have it as far towards the bucket as possible. (not near the tip).
I agree, I almost bought a set of these.
Last year I used the forks to hold the logs up. But for years used a chain on the bucket. That worked fine, but the forks would keep it from spinning around.
If you don't mind the time to chain a log , you could consider some sort of 3 PTH attachment to raise it up some.I don't raise it very high just want it away from the dirt .
