I visit this forum to get ideas and look at what others have made, thanks.
While at Padnos steel (useables dept.) in Lansing, MI I saw that they have
5-10 sets of used forklift forks. I asked the guy how much and he said
$65-70 a set. Forks seem to be a somewhat popular item on here so I thought I would post this as it would be a good start for a project.

I have no affiliation with Padnos other than being a customer. They are selling scrap steel for .40 a pound.

Tim, do they have a separate area they put stuff aside to sell? I am over in Muskegon and Padnos is also around here. If that is true I could get myself in trouble :)

Mike,
At the Lansing Padnos they have what they call a useables dept. It is open
3 days a week (Wed-Fri) but this summer they are open Tuesday also. It is open to the public and they have scrap and new steel. They will also have
aluminum and some brass. When I was there this week they had a large lathe and some other
large machine tool sitting outside the building. I have also seen steel tables and carts before.
It's one of those you never know what they may have.
Call the Muskegon Padnos and ask if they do the same.
