After buying a new loader for my tractor skid steer attachment, bought a fork lift attachment and then ordered a 49" spear and two 17" spears, costing me $120.00, and welded the sockets to the fork lift frame, all sockets are welded away from the fork frame.
Now can go from forks to bale spear in a few minutes or less.

Next job is making a double spear for the 3 point, to carry two bails at one trip. and still carry one on the front.

I've seen a forklift attchment on the 3-point to lift bales to double-stack on trailers. You might could use that idea for the spears on the forklift frame to raise one bale, then have forks mounted to the bottom of the forklift frame and grab the other and lift both with the 3-point. That's a lot of weight, and a lot up high. Just be careful since I'm sure the center of gravity changes greatly.

That's a great idea, having two useful attachments in one package. Nice work.

Since it rain most of the week, I worked on my fork-bale spear attechment, bought two 49" spears, and two 17" spikes, had some 4" sq tubing laying around, made two wings that bolt on so i can remove doing other projects. Now i can move three bales at one time out of the field, next project will be to haul two hay bales with the 3-pt bale spear assembly.
Do relize that i am hauling 4x5 bales, i can only move one 6x5 bale with the fel. The way our hay fields are, cant always drive a truck and trailer on it all the time, have to move the hay bales where we can load them. And this will cut down on many trips.

I thought it was going to be my idea of a spear made to go on a std forklift plate.
