Forum newbie, soon purchasing 3520....

Hey guys, Im new here to the forums. I frequent a couple diesel pickup forums because of my addiction to them. LOL Im not a stranger to tractors as I do help farm. Im getting ready to purchase a JD 3520 with the power reverser. Im also equipping it with a 300cx FEL, mid PTO, small R-4's, vert. exhaust, front fenders and 1 hyd outlet. I had a couple of questions about the 3520. First of all, I know that the ehydro models have the speedometer. Do the power reverser models also have the speedo? I really think it would come in handy spraying. Another thing is Im debating buying a finish mower for my 5 acres behind my house. What size should I go with for my 3520? Im only wanting to mow it every 2-3 weeks so it will get fairly tall. Im really excited about getting it, the only thing is I have to sell one of my trucks so I can get it and it hasnt sold yet... Anyway, thanks for all the great info on this site. Im looking forward to staying at my new internet home....

Hi Dan

I used to own a 4120 powreverser. It did Not have the speedo. There is a chart on the fender that gives a speed at a rated rpm. This was a 2004 model so things may have changed.

Because the PRT tractors do not have a speed sensor, the 3020 and 4020 series tractors do not have a speedometer.

My 3520 is eHydro so I don't know about the speedometer.

I'd suggest a 6 or 7 ft finish mower. Tractor has plenty of power for the 6-ft LX rough cutter mowing down some pretty thick (and tall) pasture grasses on my place.
