Hello and thanks for having me.
Backround information,
I'm a **** yankee and proud of it. I spent the first 33 years of my life in MN. Almost three years ago my wife and I moved to NC because of her work. So we packed up the wagon and lived in a rental house for 2 years. The last year we were in the rental we spent looking for our next home (my 4th), yes my back hurts from moving too much.
Last September we moved into our 1800 square foot shop on 22 acres with a nice house that I'm never in. I work from home for myself, by myself so I really get to enjoy the property daily. Layout of the 22 acres is perfect in my eyes. 15 acres of hard and soft wood that hasn't been logged, some trails punched out, half acre pond stocked with fish, deer stands built, creek, and the other 5 acres is a mix between nice lawn by the house and country lawn. Sorry that last sentence got long. So the first time I drove down the driveway i knew a tractor was going to be needed. As many people know many toys, I mean tools are needed to keep up a property like this. We sold most of our stuff before the move, atv, lawn tractor and etc. We are getting there with tools now after thousands spent and countless hours searching.
So this past winter I have been searching and researching what tractor to buy. I had a 10k budget and hate loans even at zero percent, I'm what they call a conservative. So I narrowed down my search to a b series Kubota. Mostly because my friend back home said he wouldn't talk tractors, unless I bought a kubota. He runs land mangment company and puts a ton of hours on his fleet with good luck. Anyways, it was hard to find a good tractor, for a good price and that wasnt really far away. But as luck would have it, I found one last week. About 70 miles away on craigslist. The seller was a good man I could tell before even looking at it. The price was 500 bucks over budget, but what **** I went to look at it. Made the deal for 10500 and he dropped it off at my place, since I sold my truck before the move, mn trucks have rust. So I paid 10k for the tractor and 500 buck to get it here, that's how I saw it hehehe. So it's a 2007 b7510hsd with 350 hours, has the la272, almost new bush hog and box blade that looks like it was used once. He dropped it off at 6pm and I got three projects done in 30 minutes. Turned compost pile, filled a big hole with three scoops and cleaned up my brush pile.
Now the bad news the next day I jumped on a plane and flew out to Oregon to play nurse for my Mom recovering from her surgery. So here I am thousands of miles away from my new used tractor. So I have enjoyed reading on the forum and thought why not sign up. My laptop died a couple weeks ago so I'm on my phone sorry about spelling and etc.
