Price Check Foton 250 Loss of power steering and rear hydraulic lift

Hi all,

First post, driving along lost power steering had the tractor 12 months now.
Question where to top up power steering/hydraulics and what fluid to do this?

Pics attached of locations possible I think

In the first pic, the plug near the main shifter is the transmission oil fill /level (80 W 90 gear oil). In the second pic
The hydraulic fill/ level (AW 32 in cold climate) is almost in the middle of the triangle formed by the 3 point little pivot pin and the pivot of the arms in the lift box.

Ok, update, the hydraulic fluid reservoir was full so decided to loosen the high pressure side of the hydraulic pump, started engine and nothing really coming out except for gravity pressure. Took the pump cover off started the engine and the gears are turning. I can only assume the pump is so badly worn it ain't working. Some pics below of the pump. Going to replace the pump and see if this improves the situation. On refill would AW46 be better for the UK than AW32?

You already have the pump apart, just push the shafts and check the gears inside and housing to see if it's indeed the pump.

The pump turns fine and all the gears look good just not pumping fluid under any pressure. Fluid flows from reservoir tank to the pump inlet nicely by gravity.

Some more pictures if it helps. With the engine on the pump internals were working with the end plate off.

The pump does indeed look fine to me. Shouldn't be the problem.

Have you changed hydraulic filters, cleaned the hydraulic suction screen?

Hydraulic filters unchanged but the flow of fluid to the pump inlet is perfect?

Ok sorted in the end, the key way had worn so much that it would turn the pump off load but as soon as load was applied it spun around doing nothing. All working again except power steering not working great but 3 point linkage works perfectly.
