I have been looking hard at the little Foton FT254. I know they are new and all but how are they built?
For the price they are a cheap tractor, but I just got off the phone with someone and they are going to hit the marketing hard in the next 3 years.
I am just trying to find a tractor to hit the 100 hr mark without any major breakdowns and still be in my budget /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Hey DesertDweller,

I don't know too much about the Ft's, but Dick has a Jinma 254, with over 500 hours on his, and his is still going strong.

If you get a Chinese Tractor, I invite you to join the owners club at this address:

As much as I can find on the web.

I called one of my old import buddies from cars and he told me to buy a TYM or Foton as they are great tractors (overseas), then proceeded on laughing and say but that is over here /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

The 25HP foton is a nice tractor but has a very small clutch, only 8". the 25HP jinma has 9" (now old ones had 8"). the chassis is smaller than Jinma, shifts nicer than jinma (constant mesh trans) what kink of prices are you seeing on the fotons? have you compared Jinma and KAMA? Will you use a loader? Parts are probably more readily available for Jinma and KAMA, but foton is starting to work their way back into the marketplace here in USA.

Thank you. Clutch is no biggie for me. They are easier then car clutches /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif I found a Foton FT254 for 6G plus FEL.
I have check out the Jinma's but just never really thought of them.
KAMA.....never heard of!

I need a FEL as I have 3 acres of desert to clear out and level plus keep up.
I just thought the Foton for being a good price and being a legal import would be worth it.
