Ya forgot that other wonderful joyous fun device, the Hay Elevator. Not the one for puttin bails in the barn, the one that was pulled in front of the hay rack to eliminate the labor of forking the hay onto the rack.

Ah but the real fun was in the mowing back in the haymow on the 2nd floor of the barn. 90 deg in the shade, hay dust too thick to see through, stringy tangled timothy coming in out of the haynets or forks (done both). Yes us kids really loved that job...not.
