Found a pretty good sized Roller. Whats it worth?

Been finding crap on my new property. I found this Roller on my property and it has to weigh at least a ton and a half maybe more. I payed **** moving it with my truck. Maybe you can figure out what it weighs if your good with math. I dont know how it was made but the concete must have been formed for it is exposed on the sides. It is wrapped with quarter inch steel. The drum measures 5 feet across and it is 2 feet tall. It crushes and levels everything in its path. What would someone pay for this and what do you think this thing weighs. Like i said, it is all concrete wrapped in quarter inch steel.

It depends, to some it is worth between $50-$200, but if you have a gravel driveway I would keep it and pull it with the 3520.

I would actually have fun pullin this thing with the 3520. Problem is that nothing needs rolling on my property. its pretty flat and my driveway is paved. I live 3o minutes outside of philly and about 15 minutes west of king of prussia and have no problem lending it to any of you local guys.

I would say that cylinder weighs..........

You basically have a cylinder of concrete 23.50" x 60"

It is 26034 +/- Cubic Inches.
If there are 1728 Square inches in a Cubic foot then you have 15 +/- Cubic Feet of concrete.

If concrete unreinforced weighs 145# per Cubic Feet you have 2175Lbs of Concrete, now add the weight of the cylinder and that bent :laughing: tow arm assemby and your going to have it real close.

My guess, 2400 Pounds...

I had one similar to that it was made out of cast iron.It had 4 sections about a foot wide each.That was worth about 60 $ at the scrap yard.Wish I still had it but the wife wanted it gone,said it was a weed magnet.

A column of concrete 2'x 5' is .58 cu yd, ~2300 lbs. Plus the weight of the pipe and frame, could be close to a ton and a half.
