I seem to be spending a lot of time online lately. I found on eBay an old USA made, Denton TX Victor flow regulator to use on my small MIG Hobart 210 MVP MIG welder. I already have 1 I bought many years ago that is the same exact model I run on my old Hobart 2510 MIG welder. It blew out a couple of months ago so I can also use it as a backup.
Do think it will work OK if I put it on a CO2 tank using an adapter? I don't do any high flow situations so I hope freeze up won't be a problem. My plan is to buy a CO2 tank and then eventually buy a Argon tank which will be used to mix my own mixtures to cover spray and few other things. This regulator looks brand new.
I really like flow regulators better than gauges. If you see the ball moving up and holding then you are good on gas. I run a lot of Victor welding equipment because it was made in my home state Texas. It cost $69 on eBay. My old one lasted about 10 years before it gave me trouble. My local LWS rebuilt it for about $50. What is a good MIG gas hose to use? I have not looked. My old one has a black MIG hose.
