Welcome to TBN Gunner.
My first question would be: What complaints have you seen about this machine? I've seen almost none, but I have an open mind. If you know of any brand that hasn't had some complaints, I'd like to know about that too.
The DK55 is an excellent tractor with lots of good features. Is this a cab model? The only thing about the cabs that is being corrected, is the way the AC works, sometimes fogging up the interior, but not a big problem.
I certainly wouldn't let a few complaints about a model stop me unless that tractor is experiencing the same problems, and then I might still go for it if I know what needs to be done to correct it. Otherwise, you couldn't buy most anything!
You would love the DK55, it's a good strong tractor that will work like crazy. John

the only complants about this model of tractor that I have seen were about the loader .the 55 that i've been looking at isnt a cab model ,it is one heck of a good looking machine, big ,stout and powerful /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gifBut the kioti dealer told me today that they [kioti ] cuoldnt finance a used tractor that even had 200 hrs on it /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif so im back to looking at the dk45. my cousin sells alot of used tractors ford and john deere [big tracktors 65-110hp] he found me a kioti dealer today that he sells implements to, this dealer qouted me a new dk45 w/agri tires and a koyker loader for around 18500 Im supposed to talk to the dealer tomorrow.

The financing is done by Agricredit Acceptance LLC, not Kioti, but in a deal with Kioti. I feel sure that Agricredit does used financing, but I'm going to check with someone tomorrow and let you know.
There have been some complaints about the rollback on some of the loaders, but some posters have said they didn't find it to be a problem. I guess it depends on what one is doing with the loader. I'm not so sure that's a good price for the DK45 with that cheaper Koyker loader on it. I'd much prefer a Woods loader or one of the other major brands over the Koyker for that tractor for that amount. Tomorrow I'll find out some things for you, and send you a private message. John

KiotiJohn you are correct about the financing, they (Agricredit) will finance the used but at their standard rate.

Thanks guys I think that i've got the finacing thing nipped in the rear /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I'm just not sure which route to take now though .
One dealer gave me a list of 45 owners to call and check out to see if they were pleased with their 45s I dont know of any one who has a 55 but I'll ask today I did here somewhere that the front axles werent heavy enough on the 55s, that they would break sometmes under weight of the loader .THIS would be a BIG concern to me because I will be using this tractor and loader almost every day and i'll be using the fel a bunch .

I have never seen or heard of any problems on the front axles of the DK55. I have one customer who uses his around his landfill and does alot of loader work and never a single problem. The 55 is a really nice machine. We always keep several in stock as they are pretty popular models.

I have seen one DK55 axle problem at my dealer's. The guy who owns it is **** on equipment from what I can gather, but he broke the bevel gear on one side. I saw the gear, cast, which I think needs to be improved, as I feel the gear and pinion is a little small. According to my sources, this was once a problem on the DK45s but they made changes. It is a very rare occurrence with either tractor made in the last couple of years, and was never supposedly common to the DK55. John

In general, rear counterweight is so important. Without it, you basically are tetter-tottering all the weight that's in the FEL bucket over the front axle.

On the Kioti website, for the DK55 FEL, it states they use 1,200 Lbs. rear ballast/counterweight.
