Kubota L45
Brought home a full pallet of water softener salt in the pickup. 49ea 50lb bags plus the pallet. Figured I would give it a go with my L39 and the very light pallet forks I built for it. Attempt 1: FAIL. Loader tapped out and wouldn't do anything. Pulled 10 bags off (500lbs) and VOILA! We had lift off. Of course the back end got pretty light (Backhoe was on). So it seems Kubota's specs are right on. I am going to prioritize loading the rear tires now to help keep the rear planted.

Haha, sure felt like I might be. Definitely couldn't turn the front wheels. Wound up moving the truck out of the way instead of backing up and turning around.

Interesting, I can put 13ea 40lb bags of wood pellets on my BX23 loader without lift off. I have to restock the house from time to time and bring in about 1.5 tons everynow and so. 13bags is allI can find room for in the loader. I have not tried to lift the FEL,just lower it for transport after stacking.

I am cleaning up around here and today I was moving stumps to a place i can burn them. They had been piled up by a dozer a couple of years ago and the rattle snakes moved in last summer, they gotta go! i had finally got a large one dug loose and enough dirt knocked off to pick it up, barely. I am sure one rear tire was in the air. i wasn't worried because the stump was about 2" off the ground! It's been interesting and I am finding out what the new L3800 can do.:)

I tried to move a pallet of 90 8" cement blocks (3500 lbs) off the back of my truck, no go. Had to strip 45 off of it before the 5030 could touch it. Could have grabbed more but was too lazy to go up and put an implement on the back to hold it down.

Same issue with mine (5030). With the 9, no issue and none with the 105. Both handle about the same, right around 3000 pounds..... and I can still steer and that's with nothing on the back but the lift arms.... probably 3500 plus with something on the back.

The weight box for the 5030 has been sitting in the same spot since I sold it. really need to cut it up and scrap it.

Both will loft the rear wheels before they find the bypass valve.

Here's an LA854 lifting about 2400 lbs (400 for pallet forks and that's 40 bags of ice melt (50lbs each).

I only got it about 6 inches off the ground and it was hard to turn the wheels but I got it under shelter. In this pic it's about 4 inches off the ground. Just had to snap a picture. there's a 6' bb on teh back but the wheels aren't loaded yet.

Get some weight on the back of that L3800 and it will be very stable. I put the mower on the back of mine plus the rear tires are loaded. I found I can lift quite a bit if I can get the bucket under it and then tilt it back. Seems as though the tilt has more power than the lift. Like you I was digging out stumps. It's amazing how heavy those things can get.
