It looks like I'm going to get a top link hydraulic cylinder from Redlandhill on Ebay that already has the ends welded on. However it's goes from 20" to 28".
I have a HF quick hitch on the back and my current top link only extends from 18" to 26". Will the extra 2" cause a problem of any kind?

I'm assuming, based upon another of my posts that I'll be using a single spool controller and go from my hydraulic quick attach to the diverter and then one to the curl and one port to the hydraulic top link. Is that correct? Could someone please tell me if this would do it?

Item# 9-4128
Our Price $67.95

1/2" NPT 20 GPM DOUBLE SELECTOR VALVE

This is on page 15 of our 2006 catalog!

Double Selector Valve

• Allows one double acting valve to control your choice of two different cylinders. Save expense of buying another directional control when adding a cylinder to existing systems. 20 GPM capacity. 2500 PSI. All six ports are 1/2" NPT. 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" x 3 1/4".

My gpm on my Kubota B7510 is 4.4 gpm.

Please be sure to check out this post of mine, as I think the pics will give you some ideas,

I would highly reccomend using cylinders with exact lengths of your current link(s). Based on advice from several here, mainly user "MadReferee", I used the eaton-cessna 2 spool valve with the optional power beyond port.

Here's a link for the valve, Surplus Center Item Detail

Here's a link for where I bought my cylinders, very friendly and great prices, Baum Hydraulics Corporation

Sorry for all of the different links, but hopefully this will help you out with your project. Joe

Your question is a little confusing...
Do you already have a single spool valve installed?

The item you referenced is a diverter, NOT a spool valve. If you do not have a remote installed now, then you do not need this diverter.

The valve you referenced is NOT a single spool control valve. It is simply a selector (diverter) valve that connects an existing set of work ports (remotes) and makes two different output connections with the lever allowing you to switch the flow between the two connections. In other words, if you don't already have a set of remotes then this selector valve will not help you. It's just a manual diverter.

In order to control a hydraulic top link and/or side link you need a open center valve with at least one spool that can control a double acting cylinder. The Eaton-Cessna valve mentioned in an earlier post is the best fit for your Kubota. Several owners of B2410/B75xx series Kubotas have used this valve with a lot of success.

I"m going to get the Eaton Cessna valve you mentioned, and once I have the cylinder and valve, I'll come back with more questions.

However, one last one before I order. The problem I'm having is perhaps not understanding the nomenclatures. I thought on my Kubota B7510 I had a power beyond with quick attach fitting that the FEL hydraulics hooked up to and that that was called a remote. I know that I don't have a rear remote.

I guess I thought all you had to do was attach 2 connectors/hoses that go to the FEL (curl), directly to the valve, then from the valve, 1 set of hoses to the curl and and one set of hoses to the hydraulic 3ph top link.

What am I missing?

Basic understanding of tractor hydraulics:confused:  .

Seriously, you have to connect your aux remote valve in series with the loader valve not via the work ports like you described above. A valve with power beyond will have 3 ports for flow and 2 or more work ports depending on how many spools (functions) it has. The 3 flow ports you need to worry about for connecting are the pressure inlet, power beyond outlet and return to tank outlet.

To connect an aux valve to your tractor for remotes you must follow these steps:
  1. disconnect the loader valve's power beyond hose from the tractor hydraulic block. This will most likely be the hose that is on the left nearest to the rear of the tractor (see owners manual).
  2. using a new longer hose or a short hose with a union fitting, connect the just disconnected hose to your aux valve's pressure inlet.
  3. connect the power beyond outlet of your aux valve to the tractor hydraulic block where the loader hose was disconnected.
  4. connect the return to tank outlet of your aux valve to the transmission sump. Use a tee fitting and connect it to the same place where the loader valve's return to tank hose connects to the transmission. This is the only line that may be teed.
  5. your aux valve is now ready to use.
You can now connect the work ports of your aux valve to the cylinders and start to rock and roll.

BTW, make sure you get the Eaton-Cessna valve AND the power beyond sleeve option.

That is how you would plumb a DIVERTER valve, be it electric or manual like the one you referenced in your original post.

So, please clarify whether you are trying to install a DIVERTER or a SPOOL VALVE?

Mad and all, thanks for the info. However, because of my limited ability and the fact that I won't use the FEL curl function at the same time as my hydraulic top link (I only use the box blade for ballast when I'm using the FEL and the FEL for ballast when I'm using the box blade, tiller or bush hog), I'm just going to use the quick disconnect from the FEL curl funtion and attach the hoses to the hydraulic top link, and visa versa. That way it becomes a no brainer for me. I'm so inept with mechanical things that even a nail screams out to me as the hammer comes down, "Please don't hit me. Look, I'm bending over already".
