Our third child, a boy this time, was born on fourth of July at 7:29 PM. He weighed 6 lbs 7 oz and was 17.5 inches long. We named him Dallas Jacob and intend on calling him Jacob. My wife and son are doing well and are in good health.

Congratulations and glad everyone is doing well. That boy will always think his birthday is supposed to be celebrated with fireworks, I guess.;) But how did Arizona folks come up with the Dallas name?

Thanks for the kind words guys, I really feel blessed and am a very proud dad and husband.

My name is Dallas and we named him after me. My parents named me Dallas because they wanted something that went well with Mark which is my middle name and my dad's name. I know you would expect a more interesting story.;) He did not get to see fireworks this year, they canceled them due to the drought and the extreme fire danger.

That's terrific Dallas. My MIL was born on the 4th and I never miss a chance to rub it in. This year I told her all our fireworks were candles on her cake. If looks could kill....:D

Congratulations!!!!

I have one that was born on Easter and the second was born on St. Patricks day. They're both true to their holidays, one's as sweet as an angel and the other is...um...well... Did I mention she was born on St. Patricks day?! ;)
