Thats funnny, I just brought their backhoe plans off e-bay and they had info to the website and free stuff inside the packaged. Down loaded it this morning.
One thing to check is I priced the scarifier shanks fron TSC and it was around $28.00 + shipping.
Add up 5 or 6 of these and u are 2/3 of the cost of a new box from TSC.
I was thinking like you Hoeman00. I'd also looked at buying the teeth and building my own. I ended buying a 5' KK instead.
I plan to build an implement where I can mount the five teeth as a sort of ripper (without the box), so I should be able to pull them deeper than when on the box.
Plan to use that prior to tilling some hard clay soil.
Thanks Steven. I printed this out for future reference.
When I got my BX2200, I needed a ripper to bury some cable and a harrow to scratch in some grass seed after tilling.
I built a toolbar and made a mount for two ripper blades next to each other. I welded on some brackets so I could attach a homemade harrow (three rows of 6" 3/8 strap) That got me to thinking that rather than building the 3PT part for each implement, I'd try to build so I can add just the implement part.
All I need to finish the ripper is buy some rectangular tubing and weld it to the box beam member of my tool bar. Or I might just use strap and fix it so I can have a shear bolt arrangement to save the teeth......
I know the price because of wanting to build the same thing box blade w/o box.
I bought a used 6' Landpride brush cutter and MD 7' blade, while I was picking them up he asked me if I wanted the 6 rippers from his box blade and 300gal. fuel tank since he won't use them.
So I threw them in too.
So I have 12 rippers now and some 10" and 12" H beam to use for frame.
I'm thinking 7' wide w/ 10 teeth to start out.
Also going to put some adjustable skids on it to set depth.
Where did the site go? Was Re: Free Box Blade Plan
The link does not work any more...When I went there last, these was a note about moving the tractor information to a new site.
Does anyone know the new address?
