Free Hat!

Okay...maybe it actually cost me $14000 but I was surprised when I arrived home from vacation. John Deere sent me a "free" Owners Edition cap. I am not complaining about receiving the hat. It was a nice surprise to say the least. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I know what you mean... I got two hats for about 10 grand from NH a few years back.. but they threw in the tractor for free.. so i figure I made out on the deal..

Yea, I got mine a while back and it was a really nice surprise. The dealer gave me a couple of hats when I got the tractor but the one I wanted, (the green with the logo in yellow) came in the mail with a thank you letter from John Deere.

It is kind of a nice thing for a company to do, I have spent much more than that on vehicles and never got a thank you letter or a hat from a car company.

Congrats on the free hat.
I can now buy a whole lot of hats. I got a call
on Tuesday from a guy at Deere HQ saying I had
won the April $1000 parts giveaway drawing.
Yippee ! A shopping spree at the local Deere dealer. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
I sent the paperwork back in yesterday (Uncle Sam &
income taxes) so I gotta wait a week or two until they
send the $1k check to the dealer.

Somebody actually stopped me on the street and asked me where I got my hat.

"At the John Deere dealer."

"Really, How much did it cost?"

"Fifteen grand. 'Course they threw a tractor in with it."
