Free Welder

Was this worth bringing home? It appears to work, although I don't have the welding leads. I had to put a new plug on it. It's a Marquette model 70, 150 amp AC. I'm guessing 1950's vintage.

Found this release.

Marquette Welding sold to Lincoln.

Hope you will be able to find the cable ends you need.

I have a free welder to give away in North East Connecticut. It is one of those that looks like a rocket ship on wheels and has a square box located on top that you dial in the settings. I know nothing about it other than it is on a property that I recently purchased. My guess is that it weighs about 500 pounds and is full of copper. Free for the taking. Also have some 8' snow plows..... new, but limited amount of brackets. No other hardware available, but you can't beat the price.. $200 ... a little surface rust, but solid. Never been used. Came from a company that used to sell them and went out of business. They must be gone in a week or so... PM me if you have any interest.... Now you know why they call me the Junkman...

Drive a little and save a lot.... I have just added a large cement mixer to the list of things that is going. $50 or best offer for it. Uses an electric motor to turn. Needs new motor. Will mix at least a 1/2 yard from the looks of it. Has a tow hitch for moving around the yard and 16" tires and wheels.. I scrapped an Oliver OC3 because no one wanted it a couple of years ago. Too much iron and no place to hide it easily. Will be making a run to the scrap yard shortly. I have heard that the price of iron is on the rise.
