Apparently, according to that site, it's a bit higher in the US:
"Not surprisingly, it takes a much higher income to crack the top 1% of wage earners in just the United States. You’d have to make $421,926 to make the cut, according to a 2018 report by the Economic Policy Institute."
yes. it is sometimes interesting to see how we all compare to the rest of the world. also, if you read that article further, while you have to make $421,926 per year to be a top 1% wage earner in the U.S., you only need $770,000 in assets to be a top 1% net worther in the world. That number is more than easily obtainable on average wages for a single person and double that for dual income average wage earners over the course of their working careers.
