Sounded like the audio changed right when things went awry. So I'm guessing the camera shifted or something came loose and dislodged it. Seemed like the throttle was still open....
How long did it take you to find it?
I suppose the thing to do is get a compass bearing where it disappeared behind the trees and start walking.....
I have participated in this hobby but have little to no first hand experience. I watched friends spend hundreds only to smash into bits. My biggest problem was trying mot to laugh. I was handed the controls once but handed them back when the plane was flying toward me and everything was in reverse. Luckily I did not smashed my best friend plane....I declined any further offers to fly it.
I watched a friend get his very expensive, gas engine, helicopter stuck in another friends cedar tree once. Had to hire a crane to get it out.
That story begin when I change planes wings V- angel more straight, I want change planes behavior more sensitive but it also get new "feature" and that was planes possibility go tailspin, I don't know that when make that modify...
When plane suddenly goes tailspin I have no idea how I can control and correct that position... down it goes.. later I have learn how You can control and correct tailspin what are actually quite simple...
I found plane when I was search it about 30 minutes, it was about 500 feet away and luckily not stuck any big trees...
I think this hobbies key point is how You get over those big crashes, get stuck tall trees etc. When You see Your loved plane what cost You maybe lot of and You have built it some time mashed up little pieces... every time is very frustrating and depressing but those times You have to remember good days... when sky is blue and Your plane fly like a eagle... then collect all pieces together and try again..
I have to say that glad I start this hobby My "old days" because younger I was too shortsighted... better nerves this days..
