Hi Guys-Just put the front attachment support kit on my 2520 where spacers were between the frame and the hood guard mount. Looks like the frame attachment brackets for the 62D mower have to come off to permit install of snowblower/plow quicktatch drive shaft attachment and hydraulic kit. Is ther any way to mount both the attachment supports and mower brackets at the same time so there is less change over work between winter and spring set ups? it is not that much work, but I wonder if I am missing anything here. Thanks much for any input.

JD sells different bracket to be able to switch between the MMM and front QH without changing them. Sorry, don't know the P/N right now, but its about $100.

No, there is no universal bracket. They do sell what is called the too less changeover kit. It allows you to change brackets pulling one rod out and changing from the lawn mower hard ware to the front hitch bracket. I like it, although it does add one extra step but no involving. I will try to get pictures while I can

Thanks Henri and Danedington. The plate Henri shows might work as it is set back from the bolt location for the front support and hood guard. It would have to accept the MMM bracket for the 62D however. s it is set up now, I would have to remove 8 nuts and slip the mower brackets on the inside of the frame on the same bolts for lawn work and then torque them correctly. Come winter, I would have to pull the MMM support plates. Sometimes, it is necessary to do front blade work for grading(although FEL can pretty musvh do same), and it would be inconvenient to quickly drop the mowing deck and put on the front blade. It would be nice to have permanent mounts for both snow and lawn implements so awitching out attachments would go more efficiently.

Hi Guys-The part number for the front hitch/MMM combo bracket needed for 2520/2720 tractors is LVB 24899. It is described as the "tooless changeover kit. It is $125, and JD does not give you a credit for the brand new mmm bracket they supplied with the new tractor. It looks identical to the supplied bracket, but appears to be angled a little bit to permit access to the front attachment support. Why JD doesn't do things right and supply the combination bracket with all CUT MMM's is beyond me. I would think that it is reasonably anticipated that most CUT purchasers ordering a mid mount mower and front implement Qucktatch kits would need the combo bracket for efficient use of the machine. It is a little disconcerting that JD would not provide the correct part and then market the correct one as an "upgrade". Sorry to vent, but I am a bit upset that I find out after purchase about what should have been supplied at the point of sale.

Thanks for all the input.

When I bought a 2320 the tooless kit was included with the front quick hitch kit.
You need to check with your dealer. You may have paid for the part twice.
If it is an not included with the front quick hitch, your salesman screwed up. The tooless kit should have been included with your purchase. What is the point of calling something a quick hitch, if it is not quick to install it.

As for the spare plates, you want to save those in case you trade tractors later on & keep the front hitch for your new tractor or to just sell it.
I just did that when I moved up to a 2720. If I had not had the old mower mounting plates for the 2320. I would have had to buy a new toolless kit for the 2720 or buy new plates for the 2320.

Hi Chevy-Good point. The standard plates come with the hydraulic lift kit, so I probably would have ordered the tooless hitch had I known about it beforehand. I note that you are running the 47" blower on your 2720. I know this has been discussed on earlier threads, but do you find it to be too narrow for the wheel width of the 2720? The 2520 has the same issue with the 47" blower, and I did not know if it made sense to have 4" wings welded to the reinforcement plates or configured as bolt-on wings. I do not want to spend the money for a wing mod if it is really not necessary.

Thanks.

I thought about adding wings to the 47 blower because of posts here, but did not get time before the snow flew this year. I have about 6000 square feet of paved driveway plus I do 7 of my neighbors driveways. After using the 47 blower on the 2720 to do all of that this winter, I did not have any issue with it as it is. I do not see the need of adding wings now.
