Grading Front Blade for B2400

Can any one tell me if the front blade for a '98 B2400 uses the same mounting frame as the snowblower?

I ask because my father in law's tractor come with a FEL and snowblower when he purchased it used and while these are handy there are times when a front blade would be more convenient, and since I have recently aquired some welding/cutting tools I was thinking about using the snowblower mounting frame and lift cylinder and making a front blade with power angle (tractor already has the hydraulics so why not).

i was told by the dealer that the mounting kit for the 2019 blade is different than for the 2550 and 2560 blowers.

search around some dealers -- they still have the 2019s in stock, though last time i checked, you need holes drilled in your loader frame to mount the plow sub-frame.

If you are willing to use your tools to modify a blade from something else, i see no reason why you couldn't mount a blade the same way the blower mounts. I have the B2650 blower on my B2400, and i'd say it looks plenty stout enough to handle a reasonably sized blade. Just use the same pins for the blade to pivot on, and mount the lift cylinder in the same locaton on the blade. Use the curl circuit on the loader valve to angle...... obviously you will be able to float the blade just like you do with the blower. Take lots of pics for us when you do it !
