I am a new owner of a 2320 with 200cx loader. Wondering if it was possible to leave the long shaft and front frame mount in place and have the loader on the tractor. I have not tried this yet but it does not look like this combination will work togather. If possible it would save a step but it is not a huge deal to remove the shaft and front mount. It looks like the kick stand for the loader would rub against the front mounting harware for the quick hitch. Has anyone tried this?

Welcome to TBN:D

I do not think you can leave the driveshaft mounted with the FEL, And even if you could you shouldn't due to the reduced ground clearance and possibility of damaging it.

Hi Aroostook,

I had the same thoughts regarding my 2520, 200CX loader and new 54" snow blower, so I experimented a couple of weeks ago and dismounted the snowblower from the tractor, piece by piece.

Unfortunately, you are correct, the loader kick stand gets hung up on the "quick hitch" hardware directly attached to the tractor frame. All of the "quick hitch" hardware including mid-mount drive shaft must be removed for the loader to have sufficient clearance to operate.

Gave me second thoughts about buying a front-mount versus 3pt hitch mount snowblower. I really miss having the loader quickly available for use, but my neck definately approves of the choice to go front-mount!

I learned from a bad experience you can't keep the quick hitch on and the mid-mount shaft when trying to put the loader on. If you do, the kick-stand will get caught up on the quick-hitch, but because the tube-steel is not heavy duty, you won't even feel any resistance as it gets caught. The issue with this is it the kickstand gets bent down and now rubs up against the tires when you try to turn them.

I had to tie up a chain to a tree to bend the tube back.

It is really too bad that this piece can't be on when putting the loader on because it is never fun trying to put the whole blower parts on when a storm hits.

I am going to try to run this winter with leaving the blower on, but not sure if I will be able to do it since I need the loader on to move manure piles around. Argh.

Anyways, don't try to keep it on, and don't forget to take it off. :) (My mishap happened because I forgot :( )

Good luck juggling your attachements :)
