BX-22
I have a three year old BX - 22 with 205 hours that has started clicking from the right front wheel area when the tractor starts moving. The noise sometimes stops after a bit of use.

I have checked fluids, etc. with no problems. Does anyone have any ideas on where to start?

Had the same thing happen, it was the plastic cover around the front drive shaft joint, just loosen the one screw and reposition the cover fixed it for me. Hope that helps.

Had the same thing happen to me. Actually I only heard the clicking sound when I went in reverse. The plastic shroud over the drive shaft was the culprit.

If the above suggestions are not the cause, check and make sure the lug nuts are tight. Loose lugs can cause a clicking sound (rim slipping around).

Resurrecting an old thread here, my BX was running fine this morning, got about 90% done plowing snow and it started to click in forward or reverse, w/ or w/o 4wd engaged. $$$ signs started going through my head. Tractor seemed ok yet, but I drove it a few hundred feet back to the garage. Fluids were fine on the dipstick. I'll check it tonight for the shroud. :crossfingers: :crossfingers:

My shroud was a little off kilter, but not bad. But was enough to catch when the upper knuckle of driveshaft has a broken roll pin and has fallen off the horizontal shaft in front of the bearing. I have a piece of ready rod across the tractor below the frame to hold up a shield for the fuel filter/pump/etc. The drive shaft just fell down and spun on that rod. The front wheels turned freely and no clicking just spinning them by hand once I moved the driveshaft back into approximate position. Will hunt for a roll pin tomorrow.

The drive shaft just fell down and spun on that rod.

In my case, it happened in the summer and the driveshaft fell on top of the mower deck. It was one of the quickest fixes ever.

Well, nothing is quite as easy as it seems. It only cost me $0.53 for the roll pin in the 3rd store I tried. But after driving out the remnants of the old one, I had to lay under the tractor for 20 minutes filing the shoulders of the spines down so that I could get the knuckle back on. But she's back on the road and I got my remaining 10% plowed.
